Julia Vonnell Simpson Browne Milner

Julia Vonnell Browne Milner was born July 4, 1929 in Wrightsville, Georgia. She was known to her family as Mammy and her friends as Vonnell. She married her first husband David Browne in 1945 and they had four children Dianne Browne Renn (Ted), Dwight Browne (Jeannie), Kenneth Browne (Debbie) and Jerry Browne (Rachel). Vonnell was widowed in 1975. Vonnell married Arthur Milner in 1978 and she was again widowed in 2011.

Vonnell was preceded in death by her husbands, her daughter Dianne Renn and her grandson Ernie Renn.

Vonnell was a charter member of Wando Woods Baptist Church. She spent her life caring for her family and was devoted to her friends from Wando Woods Baptist.

Survivors of Mrs. Milner include three of her children, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A Visitation at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave. North Charleston for Julia Vonnell will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Graveside Service at Carolina Memorial Gardens will occur Friday, March 25, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
