The Celebration in Heaven began at 7:15 A.M.as Beverly Joyce Bittinger age 74 of Odessa, Texas was called home by God the father.Joyce was born on December 29, 1942. Joyce live in Oklahoma before moving to Texas in 1973. A neighbor Terri Gummelt remembers that she was the youngest mom on the block. Through the years she worked at Walgreens, Ardan and the old Gibson Discount Store on Grandview. She also worked at UTPB Library until her retirement. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed quilting and crafts as her hobbies. Her favorite singer was the King himself Elvis Presley. She fought a long hard battle against Parkinson’s disease. Today she is walking with our Lord and Savior in Heaven. The sheer joy love and peace she is experiencing is beyond imagination. She is preceded in death by her mother Jessie Mae Williams. She is survived by son Mike Lawson of Andrews Texas, daughter Sheri Hobbs of Midland, Texas, 3 grandchildren Sean Bassham, of Austin Texas, Nicole Zamora and Markus Lawson both of Andrews Texas. 2 Great grandchildren Urijah Aiden Zamora and Exzavion Ray Zamora of Andrews, Texas, 2 Brothers Bobby Jean Williams and Joe Michael Williams of Wilson Oklahoma she also has 4 sisters Brenda Elaine Stillwater of Odessa, Texas , Deborah Jo Temple of Odessa, Texas Tonia Lynn hall of Odessa, Texas, and Cindy Kay Jackson of Chandler, Texas. Visitation will be Friday July 21, 2017 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm at Odessa Funeral Home 1700 N. Jackson Odessa, Texas. Graveside Service will be Saturday July 22, 2017 at 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Gardens 6801 E. Business 20 Odessa, Texas. Arrangements under the direction of Odessa Funeral Home, Odessa, TX.
