Thomas Gerry Rutherford, 70, of Coldwater, MS passed away at his home February 1, 2016. He was born February 17, 1945 in Falkner, MS. Mr. Rutherford graduated from Overton High School and the University of Memphis. He retired from the Memphis Police Department and then from security with FedEx. He loved gardening, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Rutherford, his parents Robert Lee and Minnie Elizabeth Rutherford, his daughter, Jean Rolon of Bowling Green, KY, his sons Dell Wade Rutherford and Robert Lee Rutherford II of Tate County, sister Dianne Holifield of Munford, TN, grandchildren; Sierra Billingsley and Travis Plunk both of Bowling Green, KY.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Brantley Funeral Home. A celebration of Thomas' life will be hosted by staff celebrant at Brantley Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 with burial at Little Hope cemetery at 12:30 in Falkner, MS.
