

Family and friends of Anna Maria Sanchez Rodriguez will gather to celebrate her life of 91 years at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal church. Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home will host a time of reflection and remembrance from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born September 18, 1929, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, to Cruz and Bernada Sanchez and married Iluminado Nunez Rodriguez in Chicago, IL, and they spent 69 years together. Mrs. Rodriguez will always be remembered for her tireless devotion toward others, her hospitality, and her love for the Lord. She volunteered at Orlando Health Regional Medical Center for over 20 years for the Silver Spoon program, and she ministered to young women for her church’s prison ministry. She worked at Western Electric in Chicago, Il in various capacities as a supervisor. During her life, she loved to sing, spend time with her family, and take care of others. One of her greatest joys was cooking large meals for her family and for anyone who happened to come by her home. She was a joy to all who knew her. Mrs. Rodriguez quietly departed this life on December 11, 2020 at Orlando Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by three sons: Jesus Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez and Efrain Rodriguez.
Survivors include her husband, Iluminado Rodriguez of Orlando, one brother Juan C. Sanchez of Orlando; her children, Gloria Bello (Luis) of Kissimmee; Judy Figueroa (Angel) of Chicago, IL; Angelo (Vernessa) of Dallas, TX; Saturnino (Gloria) of Chicago, IL; Anna B. Rodriguez of Orlando; Jesus (Veronica) of Chicago, IL; Santita Mayoral (Pedro) of Chicago, IL; and Abigail Rodriguez of Orlando, and a host of generations of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
