Santiago Benigno Franceschini

Santiago Benigno “Nino” Franceschini, 88 years, of Oviedo, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 27, 2020 in Orlando, Florida. He was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico on July 15, 1931 to the late Santiago Serafin Franceschini and the late Delfina Maldonado.

Nino is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mireya Negron; sons, Santiago S. (Betsy) Franceschini, Alan Javier Franceschini (Francis Rodriguez), Carlos Alberto Franceschini and Alexis (Yolanda Cuadrado) Franceschini. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren; Yahaira, Ninabeth, Santiago Oscar, Keishla M., Michael J., Carlos, Luis Alberto, Jean Carlos, Jean Paul, Alexis X., Daniel A., Julissa N.; great grandchildren; Jonah P., Evan Orlando, Zoe, Sofia Victoria, Elyna Cristine, Santiago Julian, Kenniel Xavier, Maia Valentina, Adrian Tomas, Sofia Valentina, Carlos Jeray, Neitiri and Eliel.

Nino joined the United States Army on September 10, 1950 and served during the Korean War with the 65th Infantry Regimen. He received the Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star. Nino graduated as a Draftsman with an Associate’s Degree from Polytechnic College of Ponce, Puerto Rico. Nino worked as a Project Manager for the Construction Industry for 40 years. He also worked for his son’s company Accurate Traffic Counts as a Traffic Data Collection Project Coordinator for over 25 years.

Nino was a great family man and loving father, grandfather, and amazing father-in-law. He had a great sense of humor and was the life of the party wherever he went. Nino was always willing to give and support anyone who needed him. He also was a hard worker who loved and cherished his family and would put others before himself. Nino touched the hearts of all who had the blessing of meeting him. He will always be loved and remembered by his family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 31 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at National Cremation and Burial Society, 7565 Red Bug Lake Road, Oviedo. A prayer service will be held at 6:00pm.
