Lorene R Smith

Born September 24, 1933 in Elwood, Nebraska to Daniel and Sarah (Johns) Vogel, she married Howard H. Smith on August 30, 1952 in Bartonville. He died February 7, 2009 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Cathy Reimer of Mapleton and Debra Lolling of Glasford; one son, Rick (Tammy) Smith of Mapleton; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred (Harry) Fornoff of Havana; and three brothers, Richard (Donna) Vogel of Peoria, Raymond (Marj) Vogel of Mapleton and Donald (Sharon) Vogel of Glasford.

A homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, crafts and spending time with her family.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2010at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Walter Wilkins will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton.
