Van is survived by his wife of 28 years, Katherine A. Ferguson; daughter, Chrystal Ferguson; daughter in law, Shanna Ferguson;step children, Jason Jernigan (Wendy) and Terry Jernigan (Christy); grandchildren, Sklyer Ferguson, Ashley Ferguson, Kelsie Partridge (Chase), and Kiley Rich; great-grandchildren, Ophelia Ferguson, Dre Ferguson; brother, James V Ferguson III.
Van was preceded in death by his son, Kent Ferguson Jr.; parents, James Vernon and Louise Ferguson Jr.; sister, Brenda Ferguson.
