Baby Boy Gianni Vincenzo Brancati was born June 25-2020 in Pensacola, FL to Kevin Scott Brancati and Kathryn Jane McGuigan. He was a light that everyone will miss. Gianni was greeted at the gates of Heaven by his great-grandmother, Vincenza Hux who he gets his middle name for she preceded him in passing on June 8, 2020.
Left to cherish the journey leading to Gianni’s arrival will be his parents; four grandparents: Patricia McGuigan, Greg Norton, Joanne Sciscia, and William Brancati along with extended family members and a host of wonderful family friends.
Memorials may be made in Gianni Vincenzo Brancati’s name to ALSAC-St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital specializes in the research and treatment of cancer and other diseases and genetic disorders in children. Gianni's condition, Hydrops Fetalis, is often caused by genetic disorders. Though his was unrelated to genetics, many cases are, and we hope that one day this research leads to higher survival rates for these babies.
We would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Our Doula, Meagan Kennedy, our Midwife Jenny Allen, the labor and delivery department of Baptist Hospital, Dr. Alejandro Arevola, Dr. David White and Dr. Allessa Alliso for the love, care and many blessings provided to our family during such a delicate time. We would also like to thank our family and friends who have supported and loved us through this incredibly intense month.
