Jackie was born to Roy and Olive (Evans) Lowman in Pekin, Illinois on March 23, 1930. She loved life and having a good time. In her younger years, she was an avid water skier and would ski up and down the Illinois River for miles. If you knew her, you would have heard the skiing stories! She also had a passion for music. She couldn’t read music, but she taught herself how to play the piano by listening. She enjoyed listening and singing along to Frank Sinatra. Above all, she loved her family, and there was no better place to have holiday dinners. Jackie was an excellent cook and was always “forcing” people to eat, even if they had too much already. Those meals will be missed! During her heyday, she held many pool parties, and frequented Agatuccci’s, and Pizza Inn.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Olive Lowman and her husband Robert Houlihan. She is survived by her children, Pat (Velvet) Magarity, Tom (Cindi) Magarity, Lauri (Joe) House, Jay (Beth) Houlihan, Grandchildren Craig (Michelle) Magarity, Jill (Andy) Garrison, Tyler Magarity, Travis (Anne) Magarity, Amy (Brian) Johnson, Juli (Taylor) Yelnick, Jason Lanzotti, Kellie (Jason) Gerber, Rachel (Jason) Passini, Bobby Houlihan, 19 great grandchildren. Two Nephews Jim (Linda) Price, Jim (Joanne) Toothman and a niece Jolynn (Jerry) Slane, and special friend Jim Ingels.
Words cannot describe the impact that Jackie had on so many lives, and she will be greatly missed by many. Her family would like to thank the generous and kind nurses, CNAs and staff at Heritage Health in Chillicothe and OSF Hospice.
