Michael was born February 17, 1961 in Canton, Ohio to the late Donald E. and Joanne M. (Fritsch) Wissmar. He was a graduate of R.D. Drage and Tuslaw High School.
Michael was a beloved father, brother, and friend, whose passion for the outdoors, hunting, and fishing was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends.
Michael is survived by his daughter Jessica (Brent) Fabry; his grandchildren, Brandon (Chelsea) Craig, and Cameron Fabry; great grandkids, Landon, Grayson and Adalynn. Michael also leaves three brothers Pat (Donna) Wissmar, Dan (Judy) Wissmar, Sean (Stacey) Wissmar; along with multiple nieces and nephews.
Michael lived life on his own terms, always marching to the beat of his own drum. He was never afraid to do things his own way, and his positive attitude and infectious smile could light up any room. He loved spending time with family and friends and always enjoyed life to its fullest. Mike was a man of simple pleasures and had a profound appreciation of rock music especially Ozzy Osbourne’s music.
One of Mike’s favorite sayings was “Never give up, fake it till you make it.” He would tell this to his daughter growing up when faced with adversity. He always believed in the power of positive thinking. His optimistic outlook on life and his cute little sayings like Wiggly-Wiggly and Happy-Happy Joy-Joy always made us smile with laughter. Michael will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His memory will live on through the countless happy memories he created with his family and friends. May he rest in peace. “See you on the other side”-Ozzy. We love you.
At Michael’s request, there will be no services, his cremated remains will be scattered at his favorite fishing spot.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com for the Wissmar family.
