Prior to state service, she worked as the Secretary to the City Manager at City Hall. Fun story about Rosalie working for City Hall. Some 45 years ago, before it was the thing to do, she rode her bike to and from work as was featured in an article in the Sacramento Union Newspaper about biking to work! She was the original trendsetter. Summing up our Mom in words will never do justice to the kind, compassionate, loving, selfless woman that was Rosalie. She never met a stranger, and made everyone feel loved, important and valued. To quote Ed Sheeran, "she was an angel in the shape of our Mom". No words were ever more true. Having a person in our lives that never quit believing in us has left an indelible mark. She was our champion and a shining example of unconditional love. Rosalie lived for her children. She fondly referred to her four daughters as "My Girls", or KellySandyDeannaLaurie, whatever the hell your name is, get over here! When she was blessed with grandchildren, "Gigi" divided her time between California and her second home, Tennessee. Gigi leaves her family with the most delicious family recipes that will always keep us close to each other and remember her with love. She also leaves us with a valuable lesson on how to love each other, no matter what, which drives us to live everyday honoring her life and lifes lessons. She is gone, but will never be forgotten. We would also like to acknowledge and thank Sue Shukla for her friendship, love, kindness and care of our mother the last few years of her life and Davita Dialysis at Calvine for their care and kindness while our mother was at their facility. Service A Memorial will be planned to honor this beautiful soul. Details to follow. Our sweet Mother, you are loved and missed beyond measure. Until we are together again.......... Rosalie SELFLESS, GIVING, UNCONDITIONAL, KIND, GENUINE, CHEAP DRUNK!
