Downs, Laverne A., age 93 (nee Hoelscher) placed her hands in his and entered her heavenly Home on Friday February 8, 2019.

She was the wife of Benjamin C Downs for fifty-four years. They were blessed with two children, Alan B. and Lisa L. Downs.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Benjamin, son Alan and parents John and Emma (Barkau) Hoelscher.

Visitation at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa, St. Louis, MO 63109, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm Thursday February 14, 2019, and Friday February 15, 2019, 8:30 AM until time of funeral service 9:00 AM, Church of the Reformation Lutheran 7910 Mackenzie Rd St. Louis, MO 63123. Interment to Follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
