Roland is preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Regina, wife; Linda, daughter; Regina Pauline Morel, sisters; Pauline and Yvette, and son-in-law Randy Goetz.
Roland is survived by his daughters; Sandra Mills and husband Randy of Forney, Texas, Carol Gentry of Crandall, Texas, Theresa Goetz of Forney, Texas, mother in law; Thelma Marshall of Sachse, Texas, six sisters; Claire, Lorraine, Annette, Suzanne, Lucille, and Jeannie, three brothers; Leo, Roger, and Robert, grandchildren; Justin Mills, Jimmy Mitchell, Sharla Mills, Hannah Morel, Cailey Yates, Joseph Blake Goetz, and Grace Griffith, six great grandchildren and other beloved family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Roland worked hard for 50 plus years at English Color & Supply but when he wasn't working you could find him tinkering on cars, painting them and even attending car shows and car races. He loved to fish and watch football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and his favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Roland loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation for Roland will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM. A burial will occur at later date in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Prayer.
