80, of Seattle, WA, died July 1, 2001 at Northwest Hospital.
He was born in Ketchikan, AK, and divided his time between Ketchikan and Seattle with his family until he graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle in 1939. Donald worked in the family business as a commercial fisherman in Alaska until 1958 when he moved to Seattle permanently with his wife, Helen, whom he married in 1953. He owned and operated General Automotive Warehouse with his brother, Douglas, until 1980.
Don enjoyed golf and fishing, and being with his family. He is survived by his wife, Helen, his daughter Sandra LaCelle and son-in-law Perry LaCelle of Port Orchard, WA, son Michael Payne and daughter-in-law Anne Payne, of Seattle and granddaughters Amy Trent of Vacaville, CA, Lauren Clark of Bellingham, WA, Kayleigh, Hannah and Hallie LaCelle of Port Orchard. He will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be at 12 Noon on Monday, July 9th at Evergreen-Washelli in Seattle. The family requests that any remembrances be made to the American Heart Association or charity of choice in Donald's name.
