Listening to Janice say, "I'm here to learn" taught me how to say it myself when I find myself outside my comfort zone. Janice made a huge difference in my life for the better.
I didn't start getting to know her until after Burt passed on. It was striking how much we had in common. When I was in elementary school, we lived near Green Lake, and my family attended Bethany Lutheran Church. I learned in 2005 that this was also Janice and Burt's home church.
Janice's down-to-earth wisdom and zest for life were an inspiration for me. I wish I could give to others even half of the positive influence she imparted to me. What a blessing she was. My heart is brimming with gratitude for having known Janice Bogren.
