Ruth C.T. Erbes, 89, passed away November 27, 2009 in Portland, Oregon. She was born August 9, 1920 in Spokane, Washington, to Murdock and Catherine McInnis. She attended Broadway High School in Seattle, graduating in 1939. In 1940 she married James E. Tinkham and they had a son, David E. Tinkham, born 1943. James preceded Ruth in death after 34 years of marriage. She remarried in 1975 to William Erbes, who also preceded her in death after 17 years of marriage. Ruth was a faithful member of Kenmore Community Church. She also served as Den Mother for Boy Scout Pack 300 in Seattle. Ruth is survived by her son David; four grandchildren: Lisa Rountree, Steven Tinkham, Laurene Sopke, and Lindsey Allen; seven great-grandchildren: Keyanna Tinkham, Brenden Tinkham, James Rountree, Jared Rountree, Matthew Sopke, Travis Allen, and Nathan Allen.
