Rita was a caring, thoughtful person. She worked tirelessly in her shop, doing hair, making clothes for the girls and doing for others. She was a fabulous cook and always seemed to have endless energy. A beautiful person and I think she is singing, dancing and praising God in heaven. She was a blessing to me.

There are to many kind things and memories I have to share but for me Rita will be remembered as the lady who did all the girls hair for prom, homecomings, letting the SRC girls tan cheap and sitting in her shop listening to all the girls problems. She altered many dresses for the girls. She would do anything for anyone she had a heart of gold. She was like a mom and close friend all wrapped up in one for me. We once took a group of my daughter and her fellow college freshmen friends who were all SRC grads to San Antonio for Spring Break and was that an eye opener! Rita and I would talk about when she got back on her feet the traveling we would do, well you took the best trip yet because you are no longer in pain and you are safe in the arms of Jesus. You are always in my heart dear friend and I will miss you. Barb
