Edith Vitina Helmick

She was born December 24, 1941, a daughter of the late Granville Young and Nellie Francanna (Griffin) Harlow.

Edith was employed in the housekeeping department by Hampton Inn in Staunton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Helmick, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, David Helmick; son, Tony Helmick and wife Tracy of Dayton; daughter, Gloria Back of Greenville; two sisters, Christine Puffenbarger of Stuarts Draft, Blanch Ferguson of Roanoke; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 15, 2018 at Oaklawn Mausoleum & Memory Gardens, Staunton by Pastor Kenneth Price. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery on the day of the service.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
