Lena Mae O'Quain

She was a lifelong resident of Sulphur and was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Lena Mae was a hair dresser for over 50 years and enjoyed visiting with her friends at work. She was dedicated to her clients and would often honor them at the time of their passing by doing their hair for their funeral services. Lena Mae was happiest when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was passionate about decorating for Christmas and was very proud of her large Christmas Village. She will be forever missed by her family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Morris "Sonny" O'Quain; her father and mother, Harry and Azalie Thibodeaux; grandson, Donny Boggan; brother, Jessie Thibodeaux; sisters, Bernetta Thibodeaux and Mary Ardoin.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Tommy O'Quain and wife Lucy of Sulphur; daughter, Jennie O'Quain of Sulphur; grandchildren, Tiger O'Quain, Traci Powell (JohnT), Chad Boggan, Chris O'Quain (Michelle), Jeffery O'Quain (Lena), Kelsi Bourque; great-grandchildren, Bennett, Grayson, Kian, Brayden, Blade, Savannah, Ty, Kason, Brennan, Jordyn, Isaac, Kennedy, Lynsey, Justin, Jem; sisters, Lou Alice Edmaiston and husband Bob, Wanda Harrington and husband Ron; brothers, Joseph Thibodeaux and wife Nadine, Horace Thibodeaux and wife Berna; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church with Rev. Andrews Kollannoor officiating. Cremation was entrusted to Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be in Big Woods Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonsulphurmemorial.com
