While living in Florida, Digna retired from a career of over 20 years with Department of Juvenile Justice, worked for Fingerhut, and retired from Progressive after 16 years as the Lead Representative in the call center.
On October 20, 2019, she reunited with her husband Lorenzo and her two great grandsons, Jayvien Watkins and Silas Clayton Lugo-Walsh.
Those left to cherish her memory are; sons Nelson Lugo of Nevada, Neftali Lugo (Melissa) of Brandon, four step children; Eric Lugo(Diana) of New York, Sonia Lugo-Valentin of Miami, Lorena Lugo of Puerto Rico, and Lawrence Lugo of St Pete; her 9 grandchildren; Audrieanna, Alexander, Samantha, Serena, Carina, Erika, Christian, Aidyen, and Stellah; her 4 great grandchildren; Adrian, Sariah, Jayaina, and Oliver; her siblings, some of her extended family which includes; Desirae Gutierrez and Anthony (Montana) Gutierrez, and friends.
We ask of you to join us for A Celebration of Digna’s Life. Those who knew her know that she was proud of her Puerto Rican heritage, her favorite color was red, and she loved Betty Boop. In honor of Digna we ask everyone to please wear attire relating to those three things. Nothing would be more fitting then for all of us dressed in the things she adored the most.
The Life Celebration will begin 10 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610.
