Ruby Bernice Cook

Ruby Bernice Hurst Fultz Cook, born February 16, 1926, and died July 20, 2016 at her home in Harrogate, Tennessee, at the age of 90. Bernice was preceded in death by her father Frank Hurst; her mother Cleo Brooks Hurst; step-mother Hazel Fultz Hurst; beloved husband Rev. Baylus Fultz, son Russell Wade Fultz, grandson Richard Kevin Fultz, second husband Harold Eugene Cook, son-in-law A.C. Kiser, brother Max Hurst and brother-in-law Clyde Brooks as well as all her Brooks and Hurst aunts, uncles and many of her cousins all of whom she loved dearly. Bernice accepted Christ as her Savior at Cedar Grove Baptist Church as a young girl. She was a long-time member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a devoted preacher’s wife and served with Baylus at several area churches. Bernice loved her family, her church, and her church families. She loved her flowers and loved gardening. She spent many hours with her doggie companion, Cotton, listening to gospel music and the Duck Creek Radio Broadcasts, reading her Bible and her daily devotions. But, most of all she loved her Jesus and looked forward to seeing Him and all those who’ve already seen Him.

Her survivors are Son: Rev. Lawrence Fultz and wife, Mary; Daughter: Rose Fultz Kiser

Grandsons: David (Lisa) Jones

John (Jenissa) Fultz

Great Grandchildren: Jessica and Jeremy Jones, Abbie, Kylie and Noah Fultz

Her Sister: Mary Ester Hurst Brooks

Sister-in-law: Louetta Hurst Brooks

And special Family: Justin, Ashley and Lilah Russell

Also, many, many cousins, nephews, nieces and special friends she talked with often on the telephone.

The family will receive friends from 3 P.M. until 6 P.M. Saturday July 23, 2016 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with Eastern Star Service at 6 P.M. and Funeral service to follow at 7 P.M. Saturday . Graveside service 2 P.M. Sunday at Oak Grove Cemetery.
