Roberta Ann Hattemer, beloved and adored wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, passed away at home on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the age of 75. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Scanio-Harper. She was born on February 26, 1935 to Robert "Bud" Strange and his wife Thelma in Detroit, Michigan. She married John D. Hattemer on February 16, 1957 and brought him love and happiness all of her days. She was preceded in death by her parents and her youngest son, Matthew Jon Hattemer. She is survived by her husband, John D. Hattemer of Temple, her sister Sandra L. Kassin of Round Rock and her brother David J. Strange of Detroit, Michigan; her children Stephen L. Hattemer, Mark J. Hattemer, and Michelle M. Wright of Temple, Karen L. Scallions of Belton and Lisa A. Ferree and her husband Alan of Coppell; her grandchildren Lauren M. Hattemer of San Marcos, Christopher M. Hattemer of San Antonio, Kori E. Hattemer of Austin, Erin R. Hattemer and Rachel J. Hattemer of Westphalia, Steven L. Wright and Brian D. Wright of Dallas, Michael D. Wright of Temple, Kati M. Scallions, Jacob C. Scallions and Brandi L. Fritz of Belton, Johnathan C. Ferree and Caroline E. Ferree of Coppell, and five great grandchildren. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Mary's School, 1019 S. 7th Street, Temple, Tx 76504.
