

Lola Marie Williams, 89, of Clinton, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013, at home, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 7, 1924 in Fairview Park to Alex and Odessa (Boguss) Jackson. She married Charles “Andy” Williams on March 21, 1941 and together they raised four children. In addition to being a homemaker and devoted mother, Lola worked as an inspector for Columbia Records for over 20 years until she retired.
Lola was a member of The Eastern Star since 1950 and held a variety of offices over a 30 year span. She was a past Worthy Matron, District 8 Deputy, appointed Grand Representative of Washington in Indiana, and received her 50 year pin in 2000. She was a member of Tot Bales Past Matron Club, Past District Deputy Club, and the Grand Gleaners. Lola was also a member of Salem United Methodist Church and the Happy Homemakers Extension Club.
Lola is survived by her children: Jean Conner and husband Charles of Tennessee, June Randolph and husband Lonnie of St. Bernice, Jerry A. Williams and wife Claudia of LaPorte, and Charlie Williams and wife Geri of Fishers; grandchildren, Kella Johnson of TN, Steve Miller and wife Becky of Clinton, Cathy Talbert and husband Robert of Allendale, MI, Jason Williams and wife Serene of San Mateo, CA, and Maggie Williams of Fishers; great-grandchildren, Kelsea Lucas, Lucy Talbert, Penny Talbert, Harry Talbert, Geneva Williams, and Annabelle Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Andy, her parents, sisters Mary Thomas and Odessa Boyd, and brothers, Lloyd Jackson, Earl Jackson, and Emery Jackson.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. with an Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 11 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 12, at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Felts officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Salem United Methodist Church.
