Allen Ray Rankin

Allen Ray Rankin, 62, of Texarkana, AR. passed away in a house fire on November 27, 2018. He was born September 14, 1956 in Paris, TX. He had worked in construction for many years. Allen is a member of Faith Chapel PCG.

Preceded in death by his mother and father Doris and Charles Rankin; one brother James Rankin, one nephew Matthew Gaines and a son-in-law Donald Hobson.

Survived by his wife Sandra Rankin of Texarkana; two daughters and sons-in-law Shannon and Monte Cobb of Texarkana and Cindal and Steven Taylor of Texarkana; six grandchildren, Forrest Hobson and his fiancé` Biddy Winfrey of Texarkana, Dalton Hobson and fiancé` Alexis Harris of Texarkana, Danielle and her husband Dylon Cotton of Texarkana, Steven Taylor, Jr (TJ), Ethan Taylor and Keegan Taylor; two great grandchildren Layla Hobson, Berklee Cotton and one on the way. Two brothers Stevie Joe Rankin and Eddie Rankin both of Texas. Two sisters Wanda Thompson and Peggy Hodge both of Texarkana; special friend Patrick Dyer of Texarkana; also survived by two brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law. Between both families he had 33 nieces and nephews and 44 great nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral service will be 4 P.M. Saturday December 1, 2018 at Concord Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Heath officiating.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 3 P.M. Saturday at East Funeral Home-Downtown prior to the graveside at 4 pm.
