Joyce and I worked together in correction facilities in Texarkana. She was always available to answer any questions and help out anyway she could. She and I would go out to eat occasionally and always had a great time. She was a super person and will be missed. My condolences to the family.

Joyce was a year younger than I in high school. I remember her pretty face and big smile. Very sorry for your loss. She will be missed. Jeff Thomas

I am so sad to hear of this. Joyce was always so sweet to me. We had a couple classes together. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. She is now with her parents. What a reunion that is.

This makes me so sad. Joyce O and I spent a lot of time together back in the day. I loved going to her house and remember her mom making Korean food for us! She always had a smile on her face and i loved her laugh! She was a great volleyball player and had a beautiful singing voice. She ROCKED the Miss Hooks pageant when she sang “Blue Bayou”! I can still hear her right now! Death is not the end.....we will meet again! Love you Joyce O! Prayers to Billy and family❤️

Joyce was a very intelligent, beautiful and talented student of mine at Hooks High School.
A favorite memory I have of Joyce is when she had agreed to sing at a friend’s wedding. She needed a pianist and asked me to play for her. She was really nervous because we had only one practice before the day of the wedding. We started the song (“Time In a Bottle”) and she was doing great; then, on the second verse, she forgot the words!! I just started singing the words and she got right back on track! We had good laugh about it later, but she felt like she had really ruined her friend’s ceremony!! Not true- I don’t think anyone noticed.
My memories of Joyce are all sweet and precious. Prayers for you, Bill, and for Joyce’s family and yours!
