WIGGINTON, Sam L, 70, of Leesburg, FL, formerly of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on April 13, 2017 from cancer. Sam was born on July 28, 1946 in Chicago, IL. He served in the USAF and was a member of the American Legion. Sam married the love of his life, Carol, on June 26, 1971 while going to school at USF and later worked for Pinellas County, FL, as a Planner. He was a lifelong Cubs fan, perhaps accounting for his great sense of humor and incredible wit. Sam had many life-long friends, and always put the needs of others over his own. One of his favorite sayings was, “Life happens while you’re making plans.” Sam is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Brian; and sister, Pam.
