Brian lived life fully and enthusiastically right up until an unexpected incident. A retired Metropolitan Police officer, he found genuine joy in life's simple pleasures - a lottery free ticket win, an old car show, his basement "world headquarters." His grand pets, or enjoying a "fantastic" BK Whopper.
Often a conversation with Brian included a little piece of "good news" he had seen on tv or carefully clipped from the newspaper. His sense of humour was as enduring as his kindness, and he was always looking out for those more vulnerable than him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marjorie: daughter, Angela (Ryan); and sister, Sheila (Ed). The family is deeply grateful for the support received from family and friends in Canada, the US, and South Africa.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Michael Garron Hospital or the Toronto Humane Society.
