Efraín “Frao” López Diaz was born October 8, 1948 to Don Julio López Peña and Dona Soledad “Zoila” Diaz de López as the 9th of 11 children and the youngest son. Theirs was not a life of luxury but rather one where at times they felt hunger, however, they were sustained by the love they shared for one another and the guiding hand of God. His parents were dedicated servants of the Lord and although not fully educated themselves they instilled in Frao and his siblings the thirst for knowledge and the drive for accomplishing whatever they set their minds to. Daddy always excelled in school from an early age and went on to become and accomplished chemical engineer. His career brought him to Sun Oil Co. in Yabucoa, PR where he met the love of his life Carmen “Camini” Solis Trinta de López who preceded him in death in 1990 after a long battle with cancer. Although challenged by Camini’s illness they provided an incredible home and life for their family. He leaves behind three children Ida López- Anderson (Telene Anderson), Ephraim López (David DeMerlier), and David López. They gave Frao 3 beautiful and talented grandchildren Xavier (15), Carmen Sylvia (9), and Carmen Belle (8). He lived life on his terms but never left his family without. We miss you and pray you are resting in peace beside Mami in heaven.
