Sorry to hear Maurice pass away, we went to school together and play ball together and like everyone knew that he had a rocket arm. One day in P.E. we were playing dodge ball he threw a ball at me  and I try to catch it jam my thumb, from that day forward I try to be on his side.  Thanks Maurice for the memories.    

From playing with his kids when we were small to growing up into an adult as Maurice would carry small chat at the fence while he was outside, I will always remember him with a smile and asking how everything was going most of all I will miss seeing him sitting outside on the porch waving as I'd pass by to leave for work in the afternoon.

Maurice was a second dad to me. I have so many memories to share from swinging on the porch, watching him work on the yard, building the house, my first trip to the coast, to him having to save me & Crystal from the tree because we got too scared to jump. We were not allowed back on the tree, LOL!! I was always around! He always treated me as one of his own. I just hear his voice “Come in Debbie, they are back there go on back” 
I love you all and cherish all our memories we’ve had together with Dad. 

Sorry for your loss. I remember  Maurice when I played with him on the Roadrunners. He had an arm that no runner would dare challenge.  Really enjoyed playing ball with Maurice and James.

I will always remember when he fixed the curtain rod in my room.  Now every time l change the curtains l will think of you. YOU WERE SO KIND AND SWEET!!?

When I was young and would hang out at the Kempens house on the trampoline, I used to watch Maurice as he made improvements to the house. I would ask him questions and he would give me pointers. Sometimes I would ask for a scrap piece of wood so I could take it home to build my own project.  If he was ever annoyed by the neighbor kid asking him questions, he never let it show.  I will miss him.  Although the girls were my sister's friends, the Kempens are considered family friends and will always be special to me. My condolences go to all of you. He is survived by his wife Tina ; his daughter Crystal and husband Tony, his daughter Theresa and husband Matthew, and son William "Scooter"; his grandchildren April, Mikey, Samantha, and Emma; his brothers James and Gary, and sister Annette. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Agnes, brother Robin, and sister Theresa.
