Georgia, homemaker and friend lost her short battle with cancer on Saturday March 19, 2011. Georgia was born June 21st, 1930 in Fallon Nevada to John and Freda Fraser. She later moved to Redding CA. where she graduated from Shasta Union High School. After graduation she moved to San Francisco, CA. While working at the City of Paris in downtown San Francisco she was introduced on a blind date, to a young man, who would soon become her future husband.
She married Ned Rocha on July 27, 1952 at St Alphonsus Catholic Church in San Francisco, CA. While living in San Francisco she gave birth to her two oldest sons. In 1957 when they moved to Visalia, CA to purchase the Oval Liquor Store their third son was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Barbara Brown of Reno, NV and her husband Ned Rocha in 2005.
She is survived by sons Michael R Rocha of Lindsay, Alvin (Renee) Rocha and Ned Rocha Jr.of Visalia. She is also survived by granddaughter Shelah (Luke) Feldstein, great grandchildren Georgia and Abram all of Visalia and two nieces Sharon Brown Reno, NV and Tamye (Audie) Landis, Jefferson, OR.
She enjoyed boating with the family, gardening, and family trips in the private plane to visit relatives across the West. She enjoyed following Tennis on TV, playing Bunko, and her weekly luncheon and shopping trips with the “girls”. She and Ned in their later years got the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally with their friends from the Adult Beverage Merchants association.
Services are scheduled for Friday March 25th. Viewing from 4-6:30 pm and the reciting of the Rosary will follow at 6:30 pm. Miller Memorial Chapel, Goshen Ave. Visalia, CA.
