

Brian John Grant, of Washingtonville, New York, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Born in the Bronx to the late James W. and Verna C. Grant, he lived most of his life in the beautiful Hudson Valley.
Brian was a passionate man who enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. He worked several jobs, most recently at Frontier Communications. He is a former member of the Salisbury Mills Fire Company, and a member of IBEW Local 503 and the F & A.M. Masonic Lodge #365 in Goshen. He was a charter member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church.
In his spare time he enjoyed carpentry and woodworking, as well as cooking. He was a talented carpenter who loved crafting items for family and friends.
Brian is survived by his two daughters, Amber Grant of Newark, DE and Elise (Grant) Derevjanik, her husband Nick, and his grandson, Miles Grant Derevjanik of Beacon. He is also survived by his brother, Roy W. Grant of Yuma, AZ and predeceased by his brother, Warren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 18 at 11 a.m. at St Anne’s Episcopal Church, 179 E Main Street, Washingtonville, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Brian’s name to Habitat for Humanity or St Anne’s Episcopal Church.
