A. Richard Manning, 83, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on August 3, 2015. He was born in Baytown, Texas on May 21, 1932 to Eugene and Ivy Manning. He was married to Joyce C. Manning for 40 years. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War as a Flight Controller. Richard worked for the energy industry for Houston Lighting and Power. He was a member of The Masonic Lodge and had a passion for golfing, hunting, and vacationing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Ivy Manning; brothers Harold Donald, Henry Arvell, Linard Wayne, and William “Bill” G. Manning; and sister Gladys Mae Manning. Richard is survived by his wife, Joyce C. Manning; sons Larry Manning, David Manning and wife Karen; step-son Smith McAllister; step-daughters Sandy McGowan and Stacy Wright; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The family of A. Richard Manning will accept visitors on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. The celebration of Richard’s life will be held Monday, August 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home with interment to immediately follow in Forest Park East Cemetery.
