Sen Le Liu

Sen Liu, 86, passed away January 4, 2019 at Urbandale Health Care Center. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines with entombment at Resthaven Mausoleum.

Sen was born in Singapore on March 13, 1932 to Chung Liu and Uong Thai. They moved to Vietnam where she married Ban D. Young. Sen made her way to the United States in 1990 and settled in Des Moines where she lived the rest of her life. Sen enjoyed bingo, playing cards, reading, technology, and was a lifelong learner. She will be remember by her kindness, generosity, and friendliness.

Sen is survived by her four children, Justin, Jennifer (Todd), Kathy (Mark) and Kammie (Sunny); and four grandchildren, Mira, Michael, Madison, and Megan.
