William Vito Lettieri

William “Vito” Lettieri, 104, of Hartford passed away on Friday (December 5, 2014). He was the son of the late Raffael and Maria (Capestrano) Lettieri. He served proudly in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and UCONN basketball. Bill was predeceased by four brothers, Monroe, Louis, Francis and Emil and two sisters, Lucy Lettieri and Annette (Lettieri) Wolf and her husband Horst. He is survived by three nephews, Richard H. Wolf and his wife Carol of Fairfield, Kurt J. Wolf and his wife Dianne of Winter Garden, FL and Paul Lettieri and his wife Kathy of West Simsbury, as well as a great-niece, great-nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Thursday from 9-10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial with military honors will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
