

Van Ervin Parker, 66, of Yakima passed away on February 4, 2014 at his residence. Van was born to Vernon and Kathleen Parker in Yakima, WA on April 3, 1941.
He was a very devoted father, husband and grandpa. Van loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He really enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving for 10 years. He worked at Tree Top for 10 years and served the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 10 years. He married his beloved wife Kitty Parker on August 11, 1978; they were married for 36 years and had 5 children and 13 grandchildren. Hope (Lee) Bryant, Macager, Mason Bryant all of Lake Stevens, WA, Heather Dawson, Kalen Hubbard, Kylee Hubbard, Kelly Hubbard of NY; son, Sam (Andrea) Dawson, Carlie Lamb, Morgan Dawson, Zach Wilson, Riley Wilson, Gracie Dawson all of Yakima, WA, Michael (Ashlie) Parker, Boston Canning, Devin Canning, Breyten Parker of Idaho Falls, ID; brothers Mike Parker of Yakima, Steven Parker of Alaska, Dennis Shutler of Salem OR; sisters Susan Drew of Everett, WA and Patti Rowe of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by his father, Vernon Parker of Yakima.
Van is preceded in death by his mother Kathleen Huff and son Joshua V. Parker.

Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home of Yakima. Viewing will begin again at 9 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2014 with the funeral following at 10 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Selah.
