Virginia spent her youth in Kosciusko, MS, and graduated from Ethel High School in 1950. She later lived and worked in Greenville and Pearl, MS, and spent the last three years living with her daughter in Richmond.
Virginia worked for more than 10 years as a door greeter at the Pearl Walmart. Her warm smile and unique wit welcomed guests to the store. She truly enjoyed her vocation and was considered a beloved friend to many.
An avid basketball fan, Virginia always made sure to catch every game she could of her favorite team, the Golden State Warriors. She loved to laugh and spend time with her family and could find humor in any situation.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Marlyn Daniels, and son, Glenn Lacey.
Survivors include her daughter Marsha Daniels, stepson Danny Daniels, sister Gladys Street, many beloved nieces and nephews, and her faithful canine companion Ringo.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deliver Me Senior Support Services at www.delivermeseniorsupport.com. This nonprofit provides assistance to low income seniors, including hearing aids, glasses, and food, so that they may remain independent as long as possible.
