Michael R. Kolb (Mike), 63, of Fort Worth, TX, passed away on 9/19/20 after a 3yr cancer battle. He was born August 10, 1957 in Big Spring, TX. ’75 graduate of Trinity High School and played baseball at Ranger College. Racquetball ProTour Player from 1980-1987, played for fun 1987-2020. Mike married Jana Wills Kolb in 1986. Mike worked 31+ yrs in the Cable Industry. Mike loved watching his sons play baseball (TBall-College) and cheering for his Texas Rangers. He enjoyed life through simple pleasures…hanging out with friends and family. Mike’s laidback attitude and genuine personality made him a friend to all.
He is survived by his wife, Jana Kolb; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kory and Alex, Kyle and Taylor. Grandchildren, Carsyn and Avery. Brothers and Sisters, Ray Kolb; John & Carol Kolb; Perry & Marcie Kolb; Beth & Earl McConnell; Jacque & Steve Shuttleworth. Nephews & Nieces, Brian & Lisa Kolb w/great nephews and niece, Braydon, Whitley & Gracie; Kevin Kolb; Tony Troutman; Kathy Kolb; Jennifer & Rodney Nissen. Aunt, Elaine Pavlick & Cousins, George Pavlick, Stephen Pavlick, Christine Hamel & their families. Mike is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Rose & Gene Hammett and his father and stepmother, Jack & Sylvia Kolb.
Beloved husband, devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend, he will truly be missed by all. Due to Covid-19, a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
