Joan is survived by her only daughter Lisa Powell; sisters Beverly Reid, Violet Nelson, Angla Nelson,

brothers Lloyd Beckett, Albert Nelson, Michael Nelson, Ronald Nelson, Barrington Nelson, Kenneth Nelson, Oliver Nelson, Vincent Nelson and Trevor Nelson; nieces Sofia, Latoya, Latoya B, Theresa, Rachael, Nickesha, Candice, Simone; nephews Mark, Kadan, Lloyd Jr., Lionel, Mark N, Sidon and a host of other family members and friends.
