Distinct cemetery areas are named for illustrious Puerto Rican personalities, including Eugenio María de Hostos, Mariana Bracetti, Ramon Emeterio Betances and Luis Muñoz Rivera, among others.

History

Cementerio Del Angel Privado De Mayaguez began operations in 1939 in the city of Mayaguez, although its first burial service was not held until April 25, 1941.

The cemetery is located on Ramón Emeterio Betances Avenue and is the first private cemetery in Mayaguez.

The cemetery is now a member of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral and cemetery providers.
