History

Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes in Mason, Michigan has long served families with their funeral and cremation services. Our Mason funeral home reputation is built upon 4 generations of commitment to the communities we serve.

The early years

Our longtime commitment to care is deeply rooted in the work ethic of our founders. Floyd A. Gorsline began F.A. Gorsline and Sons at our Williamston location in 1903, which doubled as a furniture store and undertaking operation. Angus MacDonald founded the Mason firm in 1868 as a carpentry and undertaking business. Both the artisan’s sensibilities and craftsman’s attention to quality formed an exceptional approach to funeral service. In 1972, Gorsline Runciman Company and Ball Dunn Funeral Home of Mason merged to become a leading funeral home name in Michigan.

Our tradition continues

Today, our Mason funeral home staff continues to practice the values and principles of our fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers. While funeral services have changed and evolved over the years, we continue to provide compassionate care to all our families.
