  • Reginal Vance Ecker


    Reginal Ecker has been serving families as a funeral director since the mid 1980s. Reg is a graduate of Ricks College, now Brigham Young University-Idaho, and the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He is president of Utah Hemophilia Foundation, program advisory committee chair of the Salt Lake Community College Mortuary Science Program, former chairperson of the Utah State Funeral Service Board and chairman of the board for Utah Federal Credit Union. Reg feels it is very rewarding to give back and be involved in the community in which he lives and works.

    Born in Madison, South Dakota, Al moved to Salt Lake City in 1958 and is a graduate of Murray High. He attended both the University of Utah and the California College of Mortuary Science. After serving an internship at Breeze Brothers Mortuary and Gillette Mortuary in Louisiana, Al returned to Salt Lake City and interned at Evans and Early Mortuary. Six months after being hired, Al’s fate was sealed and he served the next 47 years at Evans and Early before retirement. In his spare time Al loves camping and spending time with his family.
  • Danielle DeLuca

    Funeral Director

    Danielle is a licensed master esthetician, licensed funeral director and embalmer, and is licensed to sell property, casualty and life insurance. She finds working in the funeral industry extremely rewarding.

    Originally from Riverton, Utah, Danielle is passionate about animals—especially her dachshunds—and her father's old car collection. She enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time with her son.

  • Matthew Dobson

    Funeral Director

    Matt Dobson has been serving families in Utah and California since 2000. He serves each family with genuine care and compassion. Originally from Bountiful, Utah, Matt resides in American Fork. In his spare time he enjoys woodworking, acting and traveling with his wife and three children.

  • Ronald E Nielson

    Funeral Director

    Ron grew up in Montana and has been in mortuary service since 1969, serving families with the utmost compassion and professionalism. In his spare time Ron enjoys traveling, golfing and fishing.

  • Rachel Proctor

    Funeral Director

    Rachel Proctor has been serving families in the Salt Lake City and West Valley City area since 2012. She is from Magna, Utah, and earned her degree in mortuary science from Salt Lake Community College. In her spare time Rachel enjoys traveling, baking and spending time with her family.

  • Daniel F Seron

    Funeral Director

    Daniel F. Seron is a 1994 graduate of Southern California Cypress College of Mortuary Science. He is a licensed funeral director and has been serving Utah families since 1994. He resides in Big Cottonwood Canyon in the summer and Sandy in the winter. Daniel enjoys travel, home improvement projects and spending spare time with family.

  • Justin Ray Welker

    Funeral Director

    Justin Welker joined Wasatch Lawn Mortuary in October 2014 after relocating from Twin Falls, Idaho, where he worked at a local funeral home for seven years. He graduated from the mortuary science program at Salt Lake Community College in May 2016 and became licensed the following June. Justin feels blessed to have found a career providing meaningful service to families in difficult times. He enjoys meeting new people and helping them through what is, no doubt, one of the toughest times in their lives. Justin volunteers with his church and at many community events. As the oldest of four siblings, family is an important part of his life.

  • Laura Nydegger

    Funeral Director

    Laura graduated from the mortuary science program Salt Lake Community College in 2016 and has served our families since 2018. She is grateful and honored to be able to help and serve families through such a difficult time.

    Laura grew up in Sandy and loves to volunteer in her community. Passionate about suicide prevention, she has been a participant and advocate of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for many years. She is also active in her church.

    Being the 7th of 8 children, Laura has a very strong sense of family and loves to spend time with them. Her daughter is her greatest pride and joy.

  • Scott W Lee

    Funeral Services Assistant

    Scott Lee has been serving families in the Salt Lake Valley since 2016. He lived in various western U.S. states before settling in Holladay, Utah, during the late 1980s. Scott serves on a number of boards and performs volunteer services for the Utah District Courts. In his spare time Scott enjoys hiking, biking, running, skiing and travel.
