    Richard is the fourth generation of his family to operate Berger Memorial Chapel, which was founded by his great-grandfather in 1896. Richard attended Northwestern University and graduated from the University of Missouri in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration, majoring in marketing. Richard became a licensed funeral director in the state of Missouri in June 1966.

    Funeral Director

    Dennis has been serving at Berger Memorial Chapel since May 1996 and became a licensed funeral director in October 1999. Dennis is proud to be a part of the Dignity Memorial® team, serving families with the utmost compassion and professionalism.

  • Emily MacDonald

    Funeral Director

    Emily is a native St. Louisan and fifth-generation funeral director who joined her father at Berger Memorial Chapel in July 2009. She graduated from American University in Washington D.C. in 1995 with a degree in print journalism and received her funeral director’s license from the state of Missouri in 2010.

    Prior to joining Berger Memorial Chapel, Emily spent more than 10 years in public relations, branding and communications industries. As a funeral director Emily provides compassionate, caring guidance and support service to families in their time of need. She enjoys extending the legacy and tradition of the family operated funeral chapel and strives to provide the highest quality of service to families. Her service has enhanced both her strong relationship with her family and her connection to the Jewish community.

    Emily is a current member of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis Board of Directors and participates on many of the organization’s committees.

  • George A Schuler

    Funeral Director

    Since 1985 George A Schuler has provided compassionate care to families in the St. Louis area. George earned his degree in mortuary science from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. He is proud to be a part of the Dignity Memorial® and Berger Memorial Chapel teams. When George is not serving families, he can be found at church or enjoying time with his family.

  • Michael Sniegocki

    Funeral Director

    Michael Sniegocki has been employed at Berger Memorial Chapel since 2000 and a licensed funeral director since 2006. He enjoys working with families inside and outside the funeral home. Michael is proud to be part of the long-standing tradition at Berger Memorial, giving exceptional care and compassion to Jewish families of the Saint Louis area.
