Create a meaningful tribute
At Memory Chapel Funeral Home, our experienced funeral directors and support staff live in the west Alabama area. This local touch allows us to design a personal service that showcases your loved one in a respectful way. We believe that funeral services should reflect the lives of those being honored and create tributes to those who meant so much to family and friends.
As we carefully guide you through the process, we'll also suggest ways to make the service reflect your loved one's life. From writing obituaries to organizing catering, we'll be there for you. As we discuss your options, our team will help you select what is best for both your family and budget. At Memory Chapel Funeral Home, we understand how difficult this process is and will treat you with the compassion you deserve.

With respect, integrity and dignity, we will walk you through the steps of creating a veteran's memorial service that truly honors the life and sacrifice of your loved one.

Walton and Biggs
In 1957, C.L. Walton began development of Memory Hill Gardens on 50 acres of land on what was then called the US 11 Bypass. Walton continued to develop the cemetery in Tuscaloosa until his death in 1959. Max Biggs then continued to expand and develop our perpetual-care cemetery in Tuscaloosa. With foresight that was unheard of in that day and keeping our families in mind, Biggs built Memory Chapel Funeral Home in 1966.
Commitment to Tuscaloosa
Today, both the funeral home and cemetery are members of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery providers. This affiliation enables Memory Chapel Funeral Home and Memory Hill Gardens to offer innovative services while maintaining our long tradition of helping families in Tuscaloosa with their funeral and memorial service needs.
With a wide variety of cemetery, cremation and burial options available at Memory Hill Gardens, we are certain that your family will find an arrangement that best suits your needs and wishes. Please contact us if you have an immediate need or would like a tour of the cemetery grounds.
