Catherine C. Kabza

Catherine “Cathy” Campbell (McGrath) Kabza age 71 of Colorado Springs, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 15th, 2020. Cathy was born on May 13th, 1949 to her Irish father Patrick Joseph McGrath and her Scottish mother Sarah McGeddie (Liddell) McGrath and was the youngest of eleven siblings. After growing up in Luton, England and studying at Denbigh High School; she met her late husband, an American serving in the US Air Force, Ron at the age of 18. Six months later they were married and she began her life as a military wife and traveled the world. She was able to live in England, Italy, Germany, Illinois, Florida, Colorado, Hawaii and Texas. She had a successful professional career as a loan processor for several title companies. She eventually made it back to Colorado to retire with her husband.

Cathy’s family always meant the world to her. She was far away from her English family, but built a family of her own here in Colorado. She enjoyed traveling to Denver to support her grandchildren throughout the multitude of various sport events, birthday parties and milestones throughout their lives. She felt truly blessed and her life was wonderful. Cathy is survived by two of her siblings, Maureen and Cavin and her three children, Rob, Terri and Steve. She is also missed by her daughter-in-law Susanne, son-in-law Darren and her four beautiful grandchildren, Keoni, Kaylee, Makenzi and Drennan as well as many other in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews near and far.

Mass for Cathy will be celebrated on Friday, July 24th @ 2:00PM
