A funeral service to honor his life will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Gallant.
Service officiants include Pastors Josh and Amy Foster, along with Bro. David Umphrey and Bro. Freddy Keener.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the church on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 12 – 2 P.M. with a funeral service at 2 P.M. Graveside service will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Arvil was a lifelong member of Pleasant Valley Congregational Methodist Church. He was a truly loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Those preceding Arvil in death include: his loving wife of seventy-two years, Robbie Keener; his parents George and Mamie Keener and stepmother Ella Keener; brother, Billy Keener; sisters; Betty (Bets) Langston, and Margie Allison; one of the joys of his life and wonderful caregiver daughter, Cheryl Moore.
He leaves behind; his son Jerry (Marilyn) Keener; son, Paul (Tammy) Keener; son in law, Willard Moore; sister, Sue Gilliland; along with seven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and a host of special nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Matt, Mitch, Kevin, Richard, Aaron, and nephew, Kem.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Arvil’s honor to the Bethlehem Cemetery Fund (4472 Sumatanga Rd. Gallant, AL 35972).
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff of Enhabit Home Health and Hospice for their extremely compassionate care.
Special thanks to Kem Jackson for always being vigilant and available for whatever needed to be done for Dad in and around the house and farm.
