Betsy.   For 10 1/2 months, we were the same age. Looking back over the years and all the things we did, it is hard to even think you are gone.  I can remember all the swimming meets at Seneca Park, the trips to Uncle Lawrence and Aunt Delmas farm.  So much fun.  Last 40 or so years we were not able to see each other because of distance and me being a Salvation Army Officer.

  We finally managed to see each other when you would come home for family reunions or other reasons.   Donnie, Dorothy and I went down several times and each time, it was a blast.  Playing cards, deer watching and just having fun.  You will be missed so much.  Donnie and I are the only ones left  I am sure we both look forward to the next great "meeting in the air"

Gone but never forgotten.

Well..................Here goes,  What can I say that has not been said about Beverly, my SISTER,  She was always smiling and laughing.  Growing up we had a lot of fun not only playing with family but with the rest of kids in the block.  Once she and John moved to Texas I only got to see her a few times but oh what fun we had at those times.  The family will once again be one short when we meet again but she will be talked about along with the rest that have gone ahead of George and I but we will meet again and have fun once more.

Please accept from our family to yours, our condolences for your loss of such a wonderful woman.  She so loved her husband and all of her family.

While there are several things I could say of Beverly but the one thing I remember most was her beautiful smile which would light up a whole room.   I still smile every time I see the peppermint puffs she loved so much and when I would bring her a big baggie full of them, she was so excited to dive right in and have one and said I will save the rest or later.  It was a special treat we both loved.   I saw Beverly and her husband every week for a few years as she and my Dad both shared the same schedule of dialysis and always thought of others and to ask how my family was doing.  

While she is not here on this earth, know she is soaring high above and watching over her family.

Thank you mom for giving me life you have been the best . I remember when we would all go down to Bar K and you would teach us how to swim and if we held our nose we had to pay you only if we got caught , and we would ride on your back to swim under water thank so much for teaching us to swim.

Karleen, your mother was a beautiful woman.  I  feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to know her. 

Thank you mom for giving me life, nurturing me, and always being the first one I call for advice and just to say hello. Thank you, For all of those things you didn’t have to do for me, I thank you, even for the ones you felt obligated to do.  There are not enough words to even describe how important you were in my life, Mom, and you continue to influence how I live mine. I am forever grateful.  You always saw the best in me, never becoming exasperated or were critical of my imperfections.  Thank you for teaching me how to be the best daughter, sister, mother, wife (when I was married), and friend.  Thank you for being my mom. 
You filled my life with joy and pleasure. Thank you, Mom, for always being there for me to love me and care for me when I felt like no one else did. No one can ever take your place ever. I will miss you so much.

I loved Beverly like a sister . . She was my sister in law for over 50 years.    Sweet, clever and brave, hard working wife and mother.... she was so good to my brother and I'm happy she married him! Our parents were so fond of her  we loved our visits to Te xas, she made us feel right at home . And all the times Bev and Jack came up to Illinois to visit!!!! She tried valiantly to increase my crochet skills.  So patient.    ...our hearts hurt for my brother and Rick,Margaret and family, Karleen and family, John, Keala and family, and Kathy,Ron and family. I know how she was loved and cared for in her last days.   And also to the Windham family, our sympathy.   Bev, we love you, until we meet again ....Howard, Priscilla. ..and Doug, Suzie, Brady and Michael.   ❤

Sincere condolences to the both of you in the loss of your Mom, John.  Hugs to you and your family at this difficult time.

Aunt Beverly, you will be missed.  These last many years we have only been together usually for the sad times, but you were always happy, cheerful, and a great person to be around.  I still remember meeting up with you in Austin in 2010 when we went down to Corpus but on the way back we met you and Uncle Johnny in Austin and had lunch together (not a Windham gathering if food is not involved!) and just caught up on what was happening.  If you were here the one thing I would want to tell you is that you can be proud of your kids.  You did good!!!!  It won't be the same the next time we are all together, but I am sure you will be discussed.  You just won't be there to defend yourself.  Love you always.

It's Aunt Betsy laugh that I'll never forget.  Such a sweet laugh.  And I always thought it was cool that her birthday was the same day as her sister...my mom.  Love you Aunt Betsy!

Aunt Betsy always greeted me with the sweetest smiles and warmest hugs! I always looked forward to the Hero family coming to town as I knew I would get to hear her talking and laughing with her brothers and sisters. Oh how they could carry on. What great memories. I will miss you so much Aunt Betsy, but am so thankful for the countless wonderful memories you’ve given me.

Beverly is survived by her husband and four children, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, and many nieces and nephews who will lovingly cherish her memory.
