Emma was born on October 24, 1929 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was a first generation American. Her parents emigrated here from Italy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Armando Iarussi, her daughter, Susetta Wheeler, her brother Louis Fossceco, sister-in-law Rose and her Great Grandson, Trenton Williams.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Stanley, son-in-law, Earnest Stanley, her son, Armando Iarussi, grandsons Clinton Mayer and his wife Kellie, Travis Mayer and his wife Taryn, great-grandchildren Leigha, Orion, Adellyn, Chance, Paxton, Brother Mike Fossceco, sister-in-law Bonnie, and nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her cousins.
Emma attended school in Pueblo, Colorado. She married Armando Iarussi from Saugus, California. Together they leased land in the San Fernando Valley and raised corn and other vegetables.
Later on in their lives, they bought land in Kern County and raised alfalfa for many years. After Emma’s husband passed away, she lived with her eldest daughter in California and Idaho for several years, then Emma moved to Austin where her son and daughter resided.
Emma passed away on May 16, 2022 of natural causes.
A visitation for Emma will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752. A rosary service will occur Monday, June 6, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Saint Louis King of France Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Road, Austin, Texas 78757.
