Daughter of the late Alfie and Joan Giles. Beloved wife of John. She will be deeply missed by her children Amy (Owen), Kelsey, Leslie, Matthew and William. Cherished Nana to Theo. Dear sister to Ian (Anna) and Heather (Clayton). Treasured aunt to her nieces and nephews and affectionately remembered by the “Piles of Giles” family and friends.
Bev spent 26 years working passionately as a real estate advisor at the City of Ottawa. She spent many days on the “road”, like her father, engaging in conversations about property agreements and acquisitions. Outside of work, Bev delighted in all things green and she was often found with dirt under her fingernails from her beautiful gardens at her home and cottage. Like her father, many afternoons were spent under the sun enjoying a round on the links with John. Bev’s love for her three daughters was unparalleled and her traditions, such as the forced daughter & Santa Claus photo shoot for 34 years, is a testament to that.
Two visitation periods will be held on Monday, May 30th at Maison Funéraire Racine, Robert et Gauthier Beaucamp Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm.
A celebration of Bev’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 31st at 11am, at Christ Church located at 101 rue Symmes, Gatineau (Aylmer) QC J9H3K6.
