Debbie,
I’m so sorry to hear about Earl’s passing. He was truly a good gentle person. We had a lot of fun together in our early days of planning at Mobil. I know that he will be greatly missed, but I also know that Jesus has taken him to Heaven. He was such a fine man.

Earl and I worked in the refinery back in the 70s, 80s. He and I attended night school at Lamar for several years. We had many a conversation about history but seldom ever talked about our experiences in Vietnam. There just wasn't much to be said about that but we both shared an interest in guns and history. He was a very gentle man and I respected him more for that that anything. Rest in peace, Sir, rest in a well deserved peace

My friendship with Earl started with the first Big Thicket Outlaws gathering in Sour Lake. From then on we were close friends and continued to go all over Southeast Texas as No Name Mel and Tejano. Earl was a great friend and I learned a lot from him. Earl was always somebody you could talk to. Earl did a lot for Gladys City, Sour Lake, and the Wounded Warriors.. He will be missed.

Working with Earl all those years at Mobil Refinery left me with some great memories. Our friendship included the gun club and Cowboy shooting too. Earl was simply a great guy ... an enjoyable friend and a one of a kind man. He'll be missed!

Earl and my husband met in Viet Nam. Earl had an engagement ring which my husband bought from him. After they left their tour Earl looked up his buddy, Debbie and I wrote back and forth and they invited us to Texas. We made several trips from Pennsylvania to Texas and enjoyed each trip, Earl would start his itinerary for the next trip before we left from the previous one! We can not fully express our sorrow for the family but we are very grateful for every moment we spent with them. Make those plans Earl someday we will meet you again. Love Pete and Sharon

Earl was one of the finest men I ever knew. A generous, caring gentleman and a mentor to me and to those who shared our hobby. I will miss him so much.
