

Francis Dale Flood passed away on November 18, 2010, in Everett, Washington. He was born on August 6, 1930, in Alma, Nebraska. While attending the University of Nebraska, he met fellow Cornhusker Ann Carlson, whom he married on June 7, 1952. After graduation, Dale went to work for the Boeing Company in Wichita, Kansas.
In 1962, Dale, Ann, and their five children moved to Bellevue, Washington. Dale continued to work as a civil engineer for Boeing for over 40 years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and coaching his son’s soccer team. Dale was beloved for his kindness, generosity, intelligence, and charm.
Dale is survived by his sister, Nina Vrtiska; his daughters, Linda (Larry) Brown; Karen (JD) Isbell; Janis Boucher; Debra (Mike) Schilling; grandchildren, Jesse (Leticia) Brown;
Christopher Brown; Lisa (Jacob) Hatfield; Wade, Blake, and Troy Isbell; Sofia McKee; Nicole, Jennifer, James, and Mikaela Schilling; great-grandchildren, Harrison and Addison Brown; and Kylie and Kellen Hatfield. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; son, Larry; siblings, Della June, Ruth, and Bruce; and great-grandchild Jayden Hatfield.
A funeral service and reception will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, November 28, at Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1215 145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
